    Description

Grab a friend, date, and even a co-worker and head to Central’s favourite hangout spot, DiVino. Yes, bring all three at the same time because everyone should sample a taste of DiVino’s authentic Italian dishes or experience the glee of ordering from Hong Kong’s biggest variety of "wine by the glass" menu of any independent wine bar. I mean, what's better than the excitement of the "DiVino Aperitif Moment", daily between 6:00 and 7:30 in the evening, where you get complimentary scrumptious treats with a glass of your favourite wine or drink?

DiVino’s decor is a perfect blend of polished yet casual, with candle styled lights glowing inside of hanging globes above a wavy red bar. A mixture of white and brown wooden chairs sit across an expansive velvet sofa. The open façade provides the crowd at Wyndham Street a fishbowl view of the action at the bar, making it difficult to walk by without being tempted to stop in for a drink.

The dishes are created by Corporate Chef and founder Michele Senigaglia, a certified Master Chef of Italian Cuisine (ICMC) Academia Barilla. His two concepts of "simplicity" and "sharing" are perfect for pairing dishes with wine while indulging with friends. His dedication towards authentic Italian ingredients are evident in his various masterpieces of pastas, risotto, steaks, fine meats, and even a selection of savoury and sweet bites.

Crowds gather fast so be smart and make a reservation in advance or else you'll be left to enjoy the view from Wyndham Street! (Jul 2012)

    The Buzz

"This ultracool wine bar serves small plates for casual snacking, and mixed platters ideal for sharing. Not surprisingly, it's popular with the drinks-after-work crowd and you get complimentary savory treats with any drink from 6 to 8 pm. But don't underestimate the cuisine: the tailor-made cold-cut platters, for starters, are superb." -Fodor's

"For our main courses, the penne Jerome is the star of the meal: tossed in a creamy gorgonzola sauce with a generous amount of black truffle, this is clearly not one for those watching their calories. While it is undoubtedly heavy and best shared between two, it manages to be decadent rather than sickening and we wouldn’t be surprised if plenty of diners mop up the remaining sauce with bread." -Asia Tatler Dining

"Their imported European mussels stewed in white wine or garlic or (if you prefer a slight kick) in a spicy tomato sauce, are done to perfection. We’ve never had shellfish so soft, sweet and succulent before." -Hong Kong Asia-City
